Cardiac and vascular diseases are the most common cause of death in the western world. Annually, about 730.000 coronary artery bypass grafts and about 600.000 vascular surgery procedures are performed world-wide. Medistim's state-of-the-art applications are based on ultrasound-, transit-time- and Doppler-technologies. The products are developed to assist the surgeon and the operating team during the surgical procedures and are designed to verify and document quality.
The company is showing significant growth in major markets, and is continuously investing in new technology development. Medistim recently launched VeriQC, a break-through product combining transit time flow measurements with ultrasound based diagnostic imaging. The company also has a world leading electronic stethoscope on the market.
Medistim has wholly owned subsidiaries with marketing and sales organizations in Norway, Germany and USA, in addition to a global distributor network representing the company in more than 50 countries in Asia, Europe, America and Africa. Sales revenues reached MNOK 158.8 in 2009, with profit before tax of MNOK 37.2. Medistim ASA was founded in 1984 and has its global head office in Oslo, Norway.
